FAQ's

Do you ship internationally?

Currently, we only ship to the US, Australia and New Zealand on the site. If you are outside of these regions and would like to place an order, please get in touch at orders@paladincustom.com and we will look at putting through a manual order.

What can I carry on the REFLEX Quick Release?

Rifles, compound bows, small recurve bows, fishing rods, tripods, walking sticks and any other equipment the user sees fitting. Consideration of mounting height is required for longer items and movements will adjust to suit the weight and length of items.

What is the maximum size hydration bladder that I can put in?

We recommend carrying a 2 litre water bladder in the AMR bladder sleeve. The internal dimensions of the bladder sleeve are 170mm wide x 460mm high. If your bladder is not fitting within the space of the bladder sleeve empty the bladder until it comfortably fits within the sleeve.

Why set the rifle in a high or low position?

The high position is best for open country. The low position is best for thicker bush as this will allow the barrel of a rifle to easily pass under obstacles. Regardless of how a rifle is set up on the REFLEX Quick Release the user will become acutely aware of the barrel extension and move accordingly to avoid any obstacles.

What is the heaviest rifle I can carry on the REFLEX Quick Release?

For optimal performance of the AMR, it is suggested that a maximum of 6kg (13 lbs) be carried in the REFLEX Quick Release. Heavier weapons or equipment can be fitted however an effective weight must be applied to the chest panel to act as a counterbalance.

Is it ambidextrous?

Yes. Only a slightly longer extension of the right arm is required to activate the Quick Release for a left-handed rifle. Same applies to right-handed bows.

How quick can I deploy my rifle or bow?

It takes less than 1 second to remove a rifle or bow from the REFLEX Quick Release. With practice you can release a rifle from the quick release, chamber a round and have the rifle shouldered in a firing position in 1.5 seconds.

Can you sit down while wearing the AMR?

If you wish to sit while hunting it is recommended that the rifle, bow or other equipment be set in a high position. This will allow you to sit in most cases without the butt of the rifle making contact with the ground. For extra protection, a string protector can be applied to the bow so the bottom cam is protected.

Reloading the AMR after use

After little use the average time of resetting a weapon or other equipment onto the REFLEX Quick Release is around 45 seconds. Refer to this video for a demonstration https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2oQnVfRn-4

What about Heavy Barrel Rifles?

Heavy barrel rifles can be used in conjunction with the AMR REFLEX Quick Release, however, caution must be taken to avoid barrel swing with rapid movement (jumping). For very heavy rifles counterbalance can be achieved by adding the heavier components of your load list to the chest panel. If an effective counterbalance cannot be achieved we advise purchasing the velcro loop retainers which are applied to your pants belt and attach to the D rings at the bottom of the chest panel which then stops the chest panel from riding up from a heavier rifle being carried.
